Top 10 Sub-4m SUVs In February 2024 – Tata Punch Leads The Way
The Sub 4-meter SUV segment in India is at an all-time high with brands like Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Kia and Hyundai collectively selling 1,07,986 units all fighting for the top spot in its segment.
However, the top spot can only be taken by one model. That being said, let us take a look at the top 10 sub-4m SUVs sold in the month of February 2024.
Tata Punch/EV (18,438 units)
Emerging as the Top contender, the Tata Punch / Punch EV sold 18,438 units in February 2024 alone, which was a 65.08% increase of Tata’s YoY sales for the Punch, registering 15,787 units in February the previous year. The Tata punch holds 16.45% of the Top 10 sub-4-meter SUV list.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza (15,765 units)
Maruti takes a respectable second place and 14.06% of the Top 10 list with the Brezza having sold 15,765 units in February 2024 which is a -0.14% decrease but still very on power with the 15,787 units sold in the previous year.

Tata Nexon/EV (14,395 units)
Tata’s second car on our list with the Tata Nexon/EV taking home third place and 12.84% of the top 10 list. Tata had a 3.46% growth of sales in February 2024 with 14,395 units sold when compared to the previous year's 13,914 units sold.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx (14,168 units)
The Maruti Fronx being one of two newcomers on the top 10 list released in April 2023, sold 14,168 units in the month of February 2024 and holds 12.64% of the top 10 list.
Mahindra Bolero (10,113 units)
Mahindra takes the fifth spot with 9.02% of the top 10 list and 10,113 units of the bolero sold in February 2024 which is a 3.38% increase for Mahindra on the YoY sales of the Bolero with having sold 9,782 units in February 2023.
Kia Sonet(9,102 units)
Kia had reduced sales of -7.46% on the Sonet when compared to the 9,836 units sold in February 2023 with the Sonet having 9,102 units sold in February 2024 but still managed to retain sixth place with an 8.12% share of the top 10 list.
Hyundai Venue (8,383 units)
In seventh place, holding 7.49% of the top 10 list, with a -16.04% decrease in sales the Hyundai Venue sold 8,393 units in February 2024with a difference of 1604 units when compared to the 9,997 units sold in February the previous year.
Hyundai Exter (7,582 units)
The second newcomer to the list, we have Hyundai once again with the Exter selling 7,582 units in February 2024 which puts the Exter in the eighth spot with 6.76% of the top 10 list.
Mahindra Thar (5,812 units)
In the ninth spot, and holding 5.18% of the top 10 list, we have the trusty off-roader from Mahindra, the Thar which sold 5,812 units in February 2024 which was a 16.15% increase on Mahindra’s YoY sales of Thar that had 5,004 units sold in February 2023.
Mahindra XUV300 (4,218 units)
Last on our list, we have the XUV300 from Mahindra’s rising popularity has got it 4,218 sales in the month of February 2024 which is a 10.74% increase compared to February 2023’s 3,809 units sold. The XUV300 holds 3.76% of the top 10 list.
