Top 10 Compact SUVs In February 2024 – Creta Dominates
When it comes to the Compact SUV segment in India, Indian consumers showed significant interest in the Toyota HyRyder, the Kia Seltos, the Grand Vitara and the Creta holding 85% of sales for the month of February 2024.
The Compact SUVs are Sport Utility Vehicles that are between 4.2 meters and 4.4 meters. Currently, the Indian Market has Brands Like Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Kia Motors, Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, Skoda, MG and Citroen fighting for the spot on the Top 10 Compact SUV list.
Hyundai Creta (15,276 units)
The best seller for February, and taking home first place on our list, is the Hyundai Creta with an impressive 15,276 units sold in just one month which is 46.59% more than the 10,421 units sold in February 2023. The face-lifted creta currently holds 34.01% of the Top 10 list.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara (11,002 units)
Maruti Suzuki takes home second place with 11,002 units sold and 24.50% of the Top 10 list, with the Grand Vitara, which is a 19.81% growth from February 2023’s 9,183 units sold.

Kia Seltos (6,265 units)
Kia experienced a -21.80% decrease in sales of the Seltos for February 2024 as compared to the previous year with February 2024 getting 6,265 sales and February 2023 getting 8,012 sales. However, still managed to retain third place with 13.95% of the top ten list.
Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder (5,601 units)
The HyRyder sold 5,601 units in February 2024, which is an impressive 69.37% YoY growth as compared to February 2023’s 3,307 units sold, with Toyota taking fourth place with 12.47% of the top 10 list.
Honda Elevate (3,184 units)
The newcomer on the block, the Honda Elevate sold 3,184 units in February 2024. Only being launched in September of 2023, the Honda Elevate still manages to hold a 7.09% market share in February 2024
Volkswagen Taigun (1,286 units)
With 1,286 units sold, the Volkswagen Taigun takes sixth place with a 2.86% share in the top 10 list. Notably, Volkswagen experienced a -22.39% decrease in sales when compared to the 1,657 units sold in February 2023
Skoda Kushaq (1,137 units)
Skoda sold 1,137 units of the Kushaq in February 2024 which is 2.53% of the top 10 list. Sales for February 2024 were -36.23% less than the previous year's 1,783 units sold in February 2023.
MG Astor (1,036 unit)
MG Astor had a growth of 7.25% in YoY sales for February 2024, with 1,036 units sold as compared to the 966 units sold in the previous year. MG holds eighth Place with the Astor holding 2.07% of the top 10 list.
Citroen C3 Aircross (127 units)
The Citroen C3 Aircross had 127 units sold in February 2024, which is an unfortunate -45.02% decrease in YoY sales with February 2023 having 231 units sold. Citroen still manages to make the top 10 list with 0.49%
