The Tata Tiago EV stands out as the most budget-friendly electric vehicle from Tata Motors. It comes with two battery pack options and four different variants. Customers can enjoy benefits worth up to ₹75,000 and six months of free charging at Tata Power stations. These offers are available until October 31, so interested buyers should visit authorised dealerships for more details.
The Tiago EV is equipped with two battery pack sizes: a 19.2 kWh unit and a 24 kWh unit. Both packs are liquid-cooled and feature multi-mode regenerative braking. This system has four levels, ranging from 0 (no regeneration) to 3 (maximum regeneration), allowing drivers to optimise energy recovery.
Battery Range and Performance
The Medium Range variants of the Tiago EV boast a claimed range of 221 km, while the Long Range variants offer an extended range of 275 km. This makes it suitable for both city commutes and longer journeys, providing flexibility for various driving needs.
In terms of acceleration, the Medium Range version can go from 0-60 kmph in just 6.2 seconds. The Long Range variant is slightly quicker, achieving the same speed in 5.7 seconds. These figures highlight the car's impressive performance capabilities.
Power Output and Warranty
The power output for the Medium Range models is rated at 60 bhp with a torque of 110 Nm. Meanwhile, the Long Range versions deliver a higher power output of 73 bhp and a torque of 114 Nm, ensuring robust performance across all variants.
Regarding warranty coverage, the battery pack and motor come with an eight-year or 1.6 lakh km warranty. The vehicle itself is covered for three years or up to 1.25 lakh km, offering peace of mind to owners regarding long-term reliability.
