The Tata Punch SUV has been doing very well in the Indian market. However, the company recently launched the Punch EV with an updated design and expectations are getting high for the upcoming Tata Punch facelift.

In terms of design, the test mule can be instantly identified as a Tata Punch. Moreover, the side profile and the rear section continue to sport minimal changes. However, the front section seems to have been updated.

In fact, it would not be surprising to see the upcoming Tata Punch facelift SUV resemble the outgoing Tata Punch EV. However, there is a possibility that Tata could follow a different route to maintain a more premium stature to the Punch EV.

It is also worth mentioning that the Tata Punch test mule seems to sport slightly bigger alloy wheels than the outgoing versions. However, these bigger wheels are likely to be reserved for top-spec variants.

Also, the interior of the Tata Punch test mule has also been spied, and it revealed a very interesting detail as the model featured a bigger unit than the outgoing Punch SUVs.

This bigger infotainment unit in the Tata Punch test mule looks pretty identical to the one in the Tata Punch EV, and we expect this change to be reflected in the upcoming Tata Punch facelift as well.

That being said, unlike the Tata Punch EV, the Punch test mule does not feature Tata's latest two-spoke steering wheel. Furthermore, the model also seems to sport a drive selector knob as well - Hinting that the Punch facelift could feature multiple drive modes.

In terms of powertrain, we expect the upcoming Tata Punch facelift models to feature the same powertrain options as the outgoing models. However, Tata Motors could introduce AMT transmission with the CNG powertrain.
