Tata Punch Facelift SUV: Top Things We Know So Far
Tata Motors is gearing up to launch a mid-life update for the Punch SUV. The facelift, initially slated for mid-2025, is now expected to arrive much sooner. This refresh will introduce new features and styling tweaks but no mechanical changes.
Tata Punch Facelift: Launch Timeline
The exact launch date for the updated Tata Punch has not been disclosed yet. However, it is anticipated to hit the market in the coming weeks. This means the facelift will be available just three years after the original model's debut in India.

Tata Punch Facelift: Powertrain
The Punch facelift will retain its existing 1.2-litre, three-cylinder NA petrol engine, which delivers 86hp and 113Nm of peak torque. Both the 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes will continue unchanged. Additionally, a CNG version with a 5-speed manual gearbox will also be available, though it will not feature an AMT option like the Tiago CNG.
Tata Punch Facelift: Design and Styling Updates
There won't be significant cosmetic changes in this update to maintain differentiation from the Punch EV, which follows Tata's latest design language seen in larger SUVs. Some colour options might be reshuffled across trims, but interior colours and upholstery will remain the same.

Additional updates include a redesigned centre console with improved storage options, a front armrest, and integrated rear AC vents. These enhancements aim to improve overall comfort and convenience for passengers.
Tata Punch Facelift: Features
The most notable updates are on the equipment front. The new Punch will feature a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen replacing the current 7.0-inch unit. It will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a wireless charger and Type-C charging ports. A single-pane electric sunroof will now be available on more variants.
DriveSpark Thinks
The facelifted Tata Punch model is expected to see a slight price increase. Notably, the Punch is the only Tata ICE car that did not receive a price cut during the festive period. This mid-life update aims to keep the Tata Punch competitive in its segment by offering enhanced features without altering its mechanical setup.
