Tata Punch EV Revealed – Features New Platform
The highly anticipated Tata Punch EV is almost here as Tata Motors opens bookings for the model in India. On top of that, Tata Motors also introduced its latest Acti.EV (pronounced as 'Active') architecture.
According to Tata Motors, this new Acti.EV architecture will underpin Tata Motors' upcoming electric vehicles such as the Curvv EV, Sierra EV, and Harrier EV. It is also worth mentioning that the new Tata Punch EV is available in 5 variants.
These five distinct variants of the new Tata Punch EV include Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+. That being said, all variants of the Tata Punch EV come with 6 airbags as standard.
On top of that, Tata Motors has left no stone unturned in equipping this EV with top-tier amenities, including Diamond Cut R16 Alloy Wheels, LED Headlamps with stylish Digital DRLs, and an Electronic Stability Program.
Diving deeper into its specifications, drivers can look forward to a suite of advanced functionalities. Cruise control, an electronic parking brake, and a sunroof ensure a relaxed driving experience, while connectivity and entertainment are covered by Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a wireless phone charger.
Other noticeable features on the Tata Punch EV include front ventilated seats, a blind spot monitoring system, a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital instrument cluster and a sweeping 360-degree surround-view camera.
While the specifics of the battery options remain shrouded in some mystery, it has been confirmed that two choices will be presented: a Standard and a Long Range model. The former will feature a smaller battery with a correspondingly shorter range, whereas the latter will boast a larger battery offering extended mileage.
Although the pricing of the Tata Punch EV hasn't been officially disclosed, anticipative experts suggest a starting price just shy of Rs 10 lakh. Projections hint at a full reveal and formal market introduction by the end of this January.
