Tata Punch EV Launched At Rs 10.99 Lakh - 421km Range

Tata Punch EV launched at Rs 10.99 lakh. The Tata Punch EV is the first electric vehicle from Tata Motors based on the firm's new all-electric acti.ev pure electric platform.

The Tata Punch EV is offered in two guises - Punch EV and Punch EV LR. There are three main trim levels - Smart (with a Pristine White signature colour), Adventure (Seaweed) and Empowered (Empowered Oxide).

Prices for the Punch EV start at Rs 10.99 lakh for the Smart variant with the Smart+ trim taking the price up to Rs 11.49 lakh. The Adventure Variant is offered for both versions of the Punch EV with the base version priced at Rs 11.99 lakh while the Long Range model commands a price tag of Rs 12.99 lakh.

The Empowered variant is priced at Rs 12.79 lakh for the Punch EV with the Long Range version priced at Rs 13.99 lakh. Finally, the Punch EV Empowered+ is priced at Rs 13.29 lakh with the LR variant topping out at Rs 14.49 lakh.

All versions of the Punch EV (regular and long-range) come with the 3.3kW AC charger. Range versions can be upgraded to the faster 7.2kW AC charger for an additional Rs 50,000. which is the same cost as the optional Sunroof on the Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+.

The base Punch EV is powered by a 25kWh battery pack that delivers a range of 315km (MIDC). The regular Punch.EV sports a single electric motor producing 80.46bhp and 114Nm of peak torque.

The Punch EV Long Range upgrades to a 35kWh battery pack that delivers a range of 421km (MIDC) on a single charge. The Long Range version of the Punch EV sports a more powerful motor producing 120.7bhp and 190Nm of peak torque.

Tata claims that the Punch EV will sprint from 0-100km/h in around 9.5 seconds and is electrically limited to a top speed of 140km/h. The Punch EV also supports 50kW DC fast charging taking just 56 minutes to charge up its battery packs from 10 to 80 per cent.

In terms of design, the exterior sports a mostly closed-off front grille with Tata's signature EV design element of the DRLs that run across the width of the front end. The charging point sits under the Tata logo at the front and the electric micro SUV also sports 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The interiors of the new Tata Punch EV sport a dual-tone theme. two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, 10.25-inch displays for the infotainment and instrumentation and capacitive controls for the AC and other functions.

The new Tata Punch EV comes packed with safety tech including 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, disc brakes all around, hill descent and hill hold, a 360-degree camera, blind spot view monitor and more.
