In a remarkable achievement that underscores its commitment to passenger safety, the Tata Punch EV has been awarded a prestigious 5-star safety rating for adult and child occupant protection by Bharat NCAP. This accolade places the Punch EV at the pinnacle of vehicle safety, outperforming notable counterparts such as the Harrier, Safari, and Nexon EV in terms of Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP).
The evaluation, conducted in April 2024, applies to every variant of the Punch EV, making it a landmark moment for the compact electric SUV in the Indian automobile market. The Tata Punch EV is equipped with an array of standard safety features across all its variants, including six airbags, ESC, ABS, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
Additionally, it features seatbelt reminders, ensuring all passengers are secured during the journey. These comprehensive safety measures have played a pivotal role in the vehicle's impressive performance in the Bharat NCAP crash tests.

In the rigorous crash test evaluations, the Tata Punch EV showcased outstanding protection capabilities, securing 31.46 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection. It excelled in both the frontal offset deformable barrier test and the side movable deformable barrier test, providing good to average protection for adult dummies.
Furthermore, the SUV demonstrated excellent protection in the side pole impact test, reinforcing its safety credentials. The Punch EV also set a high benchmark in child occupant protection, achieving an impressive 45 out of 49 points.
It performed exceptionally well in dynamic tests and the child seat restraint (CRS) segment, further emphasizing Tata's focus on ensuring safety for all passengers, irrespective of age.
