First Look at Tata Punch 2025 Facelift: Inspired by the Electric Variant
Tata Motors is getting ready to launch the facelifted Tata Punch, expected to be launched by the middle of 2025. Although the official launch is still some time away, a camouflaged test mule of the facelifted Punch has been spied during road testing.
The camouflaged test mule offers a sneak peek into what is to come, evidently drawing inspiration from the Punch EV which was recently launched at the beginning of this year.

The 2025 facelifted Tata Punch takes design elements from its electric counterpart, the Punch EV, with similar body lines, split headlight setup, and bumper design, also resembling other Tata SUVs like the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari.
Just like the Nexon twins, the facelifted Tata Punch is expected to have some distinct features and functionalities to be able to distinguish between the ICE-powered Punch and its electric-powered variant.

The interiors of the new facelifted Tata Punch is expected to get a new two-spoke steering wheel with a refreshed dashboard layout with a 10.25-inch infotainment display and 6 airbags with ESP along with other safety features.
Tata Motors has hinted at an expected launch for the Punch facelift to be around the middle of 2025, likely offering the same 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that puts out 84bhp and 113Nm of torque, offered with a choice between a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox, currently available.

Since its debut in 2021, the Punch has been quite the hit in the micro-SUV segment, a new category in the Indian automotive landscape, with competitors like the Hyundai Exter and Citroen C3 and Maruti set to join with the Y43 SUV by late 2026.

It will be interesting to see how sales of the Tata Punch EV fairs when compared to the sales of the facelifted punch after it is launched. This is a perfect test for Tata Motors to feel where the industry stands concerning electric vehicles and their future in India.
