Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 – Tata Nexon EV Dark Edition Unveiled
Tata Motors has yet again caught the attention of EV enthusiasts with the introduction of the Tata Nexon EV Dark edition. This Dark edition of the Tata Nexon EV made its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024.
This new Tata Nexon EV Dark Edition SUV is set to be launched soon and is aimed at buyers looking for a more visually striking version of the popular Nexon EV, particularly with its all-black exterior and cabin themes.
The Tata Nexon EV Dark edition doesn't stray from the original design lines of the Nexon EV but enhances its appeal with an all-black exterior. The vehicle boasts a sleek black paint job complemented by black alloy wheels and distinctive "#Dark" badges, ensuring it stands out.
The dark theme extends to the grille, bumper, and even the Tata logo, which now sports a dark tint. The addition of black 16-inch aerodynamic wheels, black roof rails, and the exclusive badging on the front fenders further accentuates its menacing look.
Despite these cosmetic changes, the vehicle retains its signature design elements like the vertically placed LED headlights and the connected LED tail lights, which, combined with the black finish, give the Nexon EV Dark a formidable presence on the road.
Inside, the Dark edition mirrors the exterior's theme with an all-black cabin, featuring a black dashboard, gloss black centre console, and black leatherette upholstery. The steering wheel, gear knob, and inside door handles also receive the black treatment, with the "#Dark" branding tastefully embossed on the headrests.
Despite its aesthetic upgrades, the Nexon EV Dark edition maintains the high level of safety equipment with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a 360-degree camera among others ensuring peace of mind.
It is also equipped with a plethora of features including a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver's display, automatic climate control, and innovative charging capabilities such as vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle.
The Dark edition will exclusively complement the Long Range variants of the Nexon EV, powered by a 40.5kWh battery pack. This setup delivers a commendable power output of 143bhp and a torque of 214Nm, along with a claimed range of 465km.
Expected to command a price premium over the standard variants, which are priced between Rs 14.74 lakh and Rs 19.94 lakh (ex-showroom), the Nexon EV Dark edition is poised to be a sought-after option for those looking to make a statement with their choice of vehicle.
