Tata Curvv EV Vs Rivals: Features, Price & More
Tata Motors is gearing up to launch its fifth electric vehicle in the mass-market segment, the Curvv EV. This new model will compete directly with the MG ZS EV, India's only midsize electric SUV. The Curvv EV aims to stand out with its coupe-like design and a feature-rich cabin. A recently leaked brochure has detailed all the equipment that will be available in the Curvv EV.
Curvv EV's Interior and Features
The Curvv EV shares many interior elements with the Nexon EV. Key features include a 12.3-inch infotainment screen equipped with the Arcade.ev app suite, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a JBL sound system, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, smartphone integration, and a touch-based HVAC panel. Additionally, it boasts segment-first features like a powered tail gate with gesture control.

A promotional film recently provided a first glimpse of the Curvv EV's interior. The top-spec variants will offer advanced features such as a panoramic sunroof with ambient lighting, flush door handles, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging capabilities, powered front seats, and an ADAS suite.
Curvv EV Vs Mahindra XUV400
The Curvv EV includes several features absent in the Mahindra XUV400. It has connecting LED light bars at both ends that serve as charging indicators and provide welcome and goodbye animations. Other highlights are projector LED headlamps, sequential turn indicators, larger 18-inch alloy wheels, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, map-view on the digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, rear seat recline function, powered tail gate, and an ADAS suite.
The XUV400 lacks V2V and V2L capabilities and paddle shifters for regenerative braking. Its price ranges from Rs 15.49 lakh to Rs 19.39 lakh (ex-showroom). Given its extensive feature set, the Curvv EV is expected to have a more premium positioning than the XUV400.
Curvv EV Vs MG ZS EV
Despite being positioned above the XUV400 segment-wise, the MG ZS EV misses some key features found in the Curvv EV. While it has projector LED headlamps and LED tail-lights, it lacks connecting light bars. The ZS EV offers a powered driver's seat but without ventilation. It also misses out on ambient lighting, sequential indicators, powered tail gate, and rear seat recline function.
Although both models come with an ADAS suite, the ZS EV does not include lane following assist or rear collision warning features. The ZS EV is priced between Rs 18.98 lakh to Rs 25.44 lakh (ex-showroom), which is expected to be similar to the pricing of the Curvv EV.
