Tata Curvv & Curvv EV Bag 5-Star Safety Ratings Under Bharat NCAP
In a remarkable achievement under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP), the Tata Curvv and the Curvv EV, have garnered a 5-star safety rating. Demonstrating exceptional performance in both adult and child protection categories, the Tata Curvv amassed scores of 29.5 out of 32 and 43.66 out of 49, respectively.
In comparison, the Tata Curvv EV, slightly outperformed its counterpart with scores of 30.81 out of 32 in adult protection and 44.83 out of 49 in child protection, showcasing Tata Motors' commitment to safety.

The testing process unveiled the vehicles' prowess in ensuring passenger safety. For instance, in the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test, the Curvv scored 14.65 out of 16.00, while the Curvv EV outdid this with a score of 15.66. Similarly, in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test, the Curvv and Curvv EV scored 14.85 and 15.15 out of 16.00, respectively.
These scores highlight the robust safety features integrated into these vehicles, ensuring that all front passengers, especially in the Curvv EV, receive 'good' or 'adequate' protection in the event of a crash. However, it was noted that the driver's right leg in the Curvv received only marginal protection.

Enhanced Child Protection and Safety Features
Delving deeper into child safety measures, the Tata Curvv and Curvv EV demonstrated stellar performance. The Curvv scored a total of 43.66 out of 49 points in child protection, breaking down into 9 out of 13 in vehicle assessment, 22.66 out of 24 in the Dynamic score, and a perfect 12 out of 12 in CRS installation score.
The Curvv EV, on the other hand, edged slightly ahead with a Dynamic score of 23.88 out of 24 and maintained the same high standards in CRS installation and vehicle assessment scores.
When it comes to safety features, both models are well-equipped, adhering to Tata Motors' rigorous safety standards. The Tata Curvv comes standard with six airbags, electronic stability control, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Higher trim levels are further enhanced with a 360-degree camera, Level 2 Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), all-disc brakes, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.

Similarly, the Curvv EV matches this high level of safety with six airbags, hill-start and descent assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), driver drowsiness alert system, blind spot monitor, and Level 2 ADAS. Unique to the Curvv EV is the Acoustic Vehicle Alert System (AVAS), which generates sound alerts at speeds below 20 kmph, augmenting pedestrian safety.
