Tata Curvv Automatic Variants Prices Start At Rs 12.5 Lakh: Bold Entry With Competitive Pricing
Tata Motors has announced the prices for the automatic variants of the Curvv, with the petrol DCT models priced between Rs 12.5 lakh and Rs 19 lakh, and the diesel versions ranging from Rs 14 lakh to Rs 19 lakh. It is also worth mentioning that these prices are introductory.
Curvv's Engine Options
The Curvv is built on Tata's new ATLAS platform and comes with three engine options. The first is a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 120hp and 170Nm of torque. The second option is a 118hp, 1.5-litre diesel unit. Lastly, there's Tata's new 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol 'Hyperion' engine that delivers 125hp and 225Nm of torque.

All three engines come with a standard 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). This makes the Curvv the only mass-market diesel car in India to offer a DCT.
The Curvv competes with several midsize SUVs in India, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and Skoda Kushaq.
The Curvv also goes head-to-head with the new Citroen Basalt coupe-SUV in the market.Tata Motors had earlier revealed prices for the manual transmission variants of the Curvv earlier this week.
The introductory prices for both petrol and diesel automatic variants make them competitive options in their respective segments. This strategic pricing aims to attract a wide range of customers looking for advanced features at an affordable price point.
The inclusion of a dual-clutch transmission across all three engine options sets the Curvv apart from its competitors. This feature is particularly noteworthy as it is rare to find in mass-market diesel cars in India.
