Upcoming Tata Altroz Hatchback Teased: Tata's Answer To Hyundai I20 N Line
Tata Motors has teased the upcoming Altroz Racer for the first time. The performance hatchback is expected to hit the Indian market in mid-June. Bookings for the model are likely to start soon. The Altroz Racer will rival the Hyundai i20 N Line, showcasing a robust powertrain and advanced features.
Performance Highlights
The Altroz Racer will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. This engine is likely to produce 118bhp and 170Nm of torque, matching the Hyundai i20 N Line's 1.0-litre turbo engine.

Feature-Rich Interior
The Altroz Racer, displayed at the Auto Expo 2023 and the Bharat Mobility Show 2024, boasts several modern features. It includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, multiple drive modes, and a digital instrument cluster.
We also expect the upcoming Tata Altroz hatchback to come with added features such as ventilated front seats, cooled glovebox, wireless charging pads, sunshades and sporty pedals.
Sporty Design Elements
The design of the Altroz Racer sets it apart from the standard Altroz. The model features a blacked-out hood, roof, ORVMs, pillars, and alloy wheels. Twin-white stripes on the roof and hood add to the sporty look. Inside, the cabin sports a black and red theme with white accents, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

DriveSpark Thinks
As Tata Motors prepares to launch the Altroz Racer, car enthusiasts can look forward to a performance hatchback that combines power, advanced features, and a striking design. This model aims to offer a dynamic option in the competitive Indian automobile market.
That being said, the launch of the Tata Altroz signals the growth of the 'Hot Hatch' segment in India. Also, this segment has been quite lonely with the existence of the Hyundai i20 N Line.
Moreover, the success of the Tata Altroz Racer hatchback in India will push other automakers in India to experiment in the performance hatchback segment as well, which will be a piece of exciting news for many enthusiasts in the country.
