Leaked: Tata Altroz Racer’s Sporty Features And Design

Tata is gearing up to launch the new Altroz edition on 7th June 2024. This upgraded model aims to compete directly with the Hyundai i20 N Line and offers a sportier alternative to Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza. The brochure has leaked, revealing significant details.

Sporty Styling

The Altroz Racer features a new dual-tone orange and black paint scheme. White racing stripes adorn the bonnet and roof. Other highlights include a blacked-out grille, bumper, A, B, and C pillars, and alloy wheels. The rear door handle is mounted on the C-pillar.

Three colour options will be offered: Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey. This sporty styling significantly boosts the car's overall profile.

Interior and Key Features

The orange-black theme continues inside. Orange highlights are present on the AC vents and central console. The footwell lights also emit an orange glow. The seats feature racing stripes in orange and white, with contrast colour stitching on the seats, front armrest, and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Premium features include a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital instrument console, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a sunroof with voice commands. Ventilated front seats add to the comfort.

Safety and Variants

Safety features include hill hold assist, electronic stability control, parking sensors, a 360° surround view camera, and six airbags. Like the standard Altroz, the Racer edition has a Global NCAP 5-star safety rating.

Performance Boost

The Altroz Racer will use Nexon's 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, delivering 120 PS and 170 Nm. This is a significant upgrade from the Altroz i-Turbo's 110 PS and 140 Nm. The Hyundai i20 N Line's 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 120 PS and 172 Nm. The Altroz Racer will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox but no automatic option.

Tata will announce prices during the launch event on 7th June 2024. The Altroz Racer will come with a warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh kms.
