Tata Starts Accepting Bookings For Altroz Racer Before Launch
Tata Motors has announced that they have started taking bookings for the Altroz Racer, which is expected to be launched in the coming week. The Altroz Racer, the sporty hatchback is equipped with new exterior finishes, sporty interior trim, more tech and a 120bhp petrol engine.
Apart from the announcement of the opening of booking on the Altroz Racer, the brochure for the sport hatchback, has also made its way to the internet.

The brochure indicates that there will be three variants of the Racer- R1, R2, and R3, with even the entire level Racer variant being more equipped than the top-spec Altroz XZ+ trim.
Whats New?
The entry-level trim of the Altroz Racer, the R1 gets a total of 6 airbags- 4 more than the XZ+ trim, a sports exhaust system and a 10.25-inch infotainment display.

Jumping into the mid-trim, the R2 variant gets everything from the R1 trim, plus a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, wireless charging, and a sunroof.
The R3 variant, the top-spec Altroz Racer gets all the bells and whistles from the R1 and R2 models with the addition of ventilated front seats, an air purifier and Tata’s connected tech.The Tata Altroz Racer is the first time we have seen cooled seats, 360-degree cameras and blind spot monitoring in this segment.
Under The Hood
Moving to the powertrain, the Altroz Racer is expected to be powered by the same 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder, turbocharged, petrol engine that is seen in the Nexon, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, as indicated by the leaked brochure. Additionally, Tata is expected to equip the Racer with a louder exhaust system to fit the sporty aspect.
Exterior
On the exterior, the Altroz Racer gets a dual-tone paint scheme and 16-inch alloy rims. Tata is offering the Racer in three colour options, Pure Grey, Atomic Orange and Avenue White.

All colour options will be sold with Black finishes on the roof, and bonnet along with white racing stripes.
Interior
Jumping to the interior, the Racer gets a dual-tone finish, matching that of the exterior, with sporty accents with contrasting colours on the AC vents, central console, gear shifter and seat stitching.
Tata is offering warranty coverage of the Racer for up to 3 years or 1 lakh km as standard. While the official pricing has not been announced, the Altroz Racer is expected to be slightly more expensive than the standard Altroz I turbo which is currently sold for an ex-showroom price of Rs. 9.20 to Rs. 10.10.
