Suzuki Swift Hybrid Earns Best Affordable Hybrid Title By Best Cars Of The Year
The new Swift Hybrid, launched just three months ago, has been named the Best Affordable Hybrid 2024/2025 by Best Cars of The Year. Suzuki is delighted with this recognition, which highlights the car's standard hybrid technology, low running costs with a combined fuel consumption of 64.2 mpg, and an affordable price below £20,000.
When considering a new car purchase, residual value is crucial. The new Swift Motion with CVT boasts a strong residual value of 52%, as forecasted by CAP HPI. This translates to a retained value of £10,200 after four years and 40,000 miles. The manual transmission version is slightly behind at 49%, equating to £8,975 over the same period.
Mike Rutherford from Best Cars of The Year remarked: "Suzuki has to be applauded for making every model available as a hybrid - at a time when consumers are increasingly attracted to this affordable, highly flexible petrol-electric tech. Throw impressive Japanese build quality, a great dealer network and a sub-£20,000 starting price into the mix and it’s no wonder the little Swift appealed to our judges. It’s a car for the real-world."
Customer orders for the new Swift have already surpassed 3,700 units. This demonstrates the strong appeal of Suzuki’s cars that offer low ownership costs and essential technology with hybrid as standard. Additionally, the new Swift offers an optional CVT gearbox and Allgrip Auto 4x4 technology for those needing extra traction in rural areas during winter.
The British Motor Show will feature the new Swift alongside other category winners and the overall Best Car of The Year at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. The event will be open to the public from Thursday 15th August to Sunday 18th August.
Up to Seven Years Warranty
Suzuki enhances its reputation for reliability by offering up to seven years warranty on all models. This extended warranty is free once the standard three-year manufacturer warranty ends and is renewed with each scheduled service within Suzuki's dealer network until seven years or 100,000 miles are reached.
