Suzuki Secures Impressive Score In What Car? Reliability Survey 2024
Suzuki has once again secured a top position in the What Car? Reliability Survey 2024, achieving a brand score of 97.75%. This places Suzuki just 0.6% behind the overall leader. The annual survey evaluates feedback from owners of vehicles up to five years old. This year, nearly 30,000 readers participated, covering 31 different manufacturers.
Two Suzuki models excelled in their categories, ranking among the top 10 most reliable models. The Vitara (2015-present) scored an impressive 97.7% in the small SUV category, while the Swift followed closely with a score of 95.7%. Claire Evans, consumer editor at What Car?, remarked: "Suzuki is consistently in the top five brands for reliability with owners. No wonder, then, that half of the Swift and Vitara owners responding to our survey told us that dependability was one of the things they liked most about their cars."
Suzuki provides additional assurance to its customers with a warranty extending up to seven years at no extra cost. This warranty begins after the initial manufacturer warranty of three years or 60,000 miles expires. To maintain this coverage, owners must service their vehicles annually within the Suzuki Dealer network. The warranty can be renewed until the car reaches seven years or 100,000 miles.
The warranty covers major components and is transferable if the car is sold within this period and between services. This feature offers added value to both current and future owners without any additional charges.
Suzuki integrates hybrid technology as standard across its vehicle range. According to What Car?, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles were identified as the least likely to encounter issues among all types surveyed across 31 brands, with only 19% experiencing problems despite their complex systems.
