Subaru Achieves Top Ranking In 2024 American Customer Satisfaction Index Survey
Subaru of America, Inc. has been ranked first in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) Automobile Study 2024, achieving an ACSI score of 83. This score ties Subaru with another automaker in the mass-market segment and two others in the luxury segment. The ACSI study evaluates customer opinions on their vehicles, with results reported on a 100-point scale.

In the 2023-2024 ACSI Automobile Study for mass-market vehicles, Subaru secured several top positions. These include being named the #1 Brand for Vehicle Safety for five consecutive years and #1 Brand for Product Quality for four years in a row. Additionally, Subaru was rated as the #1 Brand for Overall Product and Service Quality and Perceived Value for two consecutive years.
Subaru also led both mass-market and luxury segments in categories such as vehicle safety, dependability, driving performance, perceived value, product quality, service quality, overall product and service quality, likelihood to recommend, and customer expectations. The brand tied with another automaker in comfort and warranty categories across both segments.
The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) was developed in 1994 at the University of Michigan. It is the only national cross-industry measure of customer satisfaction in the United States. The index tracks around 400 companies across 40 consumer industries within 10 economic sectors annually. The ACSI Automobile Study 2024 is based on 12,173 completed surveys from randomly selected customers contacted via email between July 2023 and June 2024.
