Subaru Becomes New Sponsor For The Guild Photo Awards In 2024
The Guild of Motoring Writers has announced Subaru as the new sponsor for its annual Photographic Awards. These awards, known for their competitive nature, will be presented at the Guild's dinner in London this December. Members interested in participating must act quickly, as the submission deadline is just five days away.
The Subaru Photographic Awards are exclusive to Guild members and feature two categories: General Motoring and Motorsport. Each category offers a £250 prize and a trophy. Participants must submit a portfolio of six images taken during assignments within the eligible period. While publication is not mandatory, supporting material with published photos is encouraged.
Last year, Jonathan Fleetwood achieved his third consecutive win in the General Motoring category, while Jakob Ebrey triumphed in motorsport. The Guild includes many renowned photographers whose work appears globally in automotive and general publications. The awards provide an opportunity to showcase their best work from the past year.
Photographers can enter both categories, with judges seeking innovative or instinctive angles on vehicles or motorsport action. The winner will be chosen based on their range of photographic techniques across their submitted work. Entries must be submitted by Monday, 30th September.
Three finalists from each category will receive free tickets to the Guild Dinner at the RAC Club in Pall Mall, London. During this event, the 2024 Guild Awards will be announced, and winners will receive their prizes and trophies.
