Subaru Reveals Pricing And Features For The 2025 WRX Lineup Including New STI-tuned TS Model
Subaru of America, Inc. has revealed the pricing for the 2025 WRX models, including the new STI-tuned WRX tS. The lineup showcases impressive performance, starting with a 271-horsepower, 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru BOXER engine and Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. The WRX tS features electronically controlled adjustable dampers tuned by Subaru Tecnica International, enhanced Brembo brakes, and 19-inch alloy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires.
The 2025 Subaru WRX will be available in four trims: Premium, Limited, GT, and tS. The base model from last year is no longer offered. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on all trims except the GT. The Subaru Performance Transmission (SPT) is optional on Premium and Limited trims but standard on the GT.
The SPT provides smooth gear shifts and adaptive control for rev-matching downshifts during braking to maintain optimal gear ratios around corners. It also includes Reverse Automatic Emergency Braking. All models feature Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology and DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System.
Visually, the 2025 WRX stands out with its iconic hood scoop and hexagonal grille framed by LED headlights. A new red "WRX" badge adorns the grille and trunk lid. Galaxy Purple joins the colour options for $395 MSRP, offering a rich hue with blue and purple metallic flakes.
Inside, the WRX features an 11.6-inch SUBARU STARLINK Multimedia Plus system with a high-resolution touchscreen for audio, vehicle, and climate controls. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are included alongside SiriusXM All-Access Radio with a trial period.
The interior of most trims boasts red contrast stitching on the dash, while Limited and GT trims have updated interiors with bold red stitching on seat bolsters and headrests. The tS trim introduces a fully digital 12.3-inch gauge cluster among other enhancements.
Trim-Specific Details
The Premium trim starts at $35,750 MSRP and includes features like 18-inch alloy wheels with dark gray finish, heated front seats, exterior mirrors, windshield wiper deicer, LED fog lights, keyless access with push-button start, USB ports for both front and rear passengers, and a body-colour rear spoiler.
An optional package adds an 11-speaker Harman Kardon Speaker System with a power moonroof for $1,865. With SPT equipped, it costs $37,100 MSRP and includes paddle shifters with eight preselected gear ratios.
Advanced Safety Systems
The Limited trim builds upon Premium features by adding a Harman Kardon Speaker System as standard along with a SUBARU STARLINK Multimedia Navigation System powered by TomTom. It also includes Blind-Spot Detection with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert among other safety features.
The Limited trim costs $40,130 MSRP with manual transmission or $41,680 MSRP when equipped with SPT. The GT trim offers additional features like Ultrasuede dash paneling with red stitching at $45,705 MSRP.
New Additions to the Lineup
The new tS trim focuses on performance enhancements such as STI-tuned electronically controlled dampers for improved handling comfort across different settings: Comfort, Normal or Sport modes can be selected via steering wheel controls or touchscreen settings.
