Subaru Unveils Pricing And Features For The 2025 Forester Wilderness SUV
Subaru of America, Inc. has revealed the pricing for the 2025 Forester Wilderness SUV, designed for adventure enthusiasts. This model, based on its predecessor, offers enhanced capabilities with 9.2 inches of ground clearance. The starting price is set at $34,995 MSRP.
The 2025 Subaru Forester Wilderness features a distinctive front design with a hexagonal grille and LED fog lights. It also includes larger wheel cladding and a front skid plate for off-road protection. A matte black decal on the hood reduces glare, enhancing visibility and giving it a unique look.
This SUV comes equipped with longer coil springs and shock absorbers. It also boasts 17-inch matte-black alloy wheels fitted with All-Terrain Yokohama GEOLANDAR tires, ensuring better traction on challenging surfaces like mud or snow. A full-size spare tire is conveniently stored under the cargo area.
Inside, the Forester Wilderness offers water-resistant StarTex seating surfaces that are easy to clean. All-weather mats and a standard cargo tray are ideal for muddy gear. The ladder-style roof rails can support up to 800 pounds when stationary, accommodating a rooftop tent if needed.
The interior features standard 60/40-split folding rear seats that expand cargo space to 69.1 cubic feet. The rear gate opening width is 51.2 inches, making it easier to load large items. With seats upright, it seats five comfortably with ample legroom and cargo space behind the second row.
The Subaru Forester Wilderness has a towing capacity of up to 3,000 pounds and includes Trailer Stability Assist as standard. The vehicle is powered by a 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER engine paired with a Lineartronic CVT, delivering 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque through Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.
Advanced Safety and Technology
Standard safety features include EyeSight Driver Assist Technology with Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking, Lane Departure Warning, and more. Automatic Emergency Steering works alongside Blind-Spot Detection to help avoid collisions at speeds below 50 mph.
The SUV includes a SUBARU STARLINK 6.5-inch Multimedia system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also provides Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free use. Dual USB-A ports are available in both front and rear consoles for charging devices.
Optional Package and Availability
An optional package priced at $2,000 MSRP adds an upgraded multimedia navigation system with an 8-inch screen, Harman Kardon premium audio system with nine speakers, and a Power Rear Gate feature.
The Forester Wilderness will be assembled in Gunma, Japan alongside the new Forester model for release in early 2025 at Subaru retailers. Delivery costs vary by location: $1,420 in most states but $1,570 in Alaska.
