Subaru Unveils Pricing For The 2025 Solterra Electric SUV With Notable Price Reduction
Subaru of America, Inc. has revealed the pricing for the 2025 Subaru Solterra, an all-electric SUV. Following enhancements in charging, interior features, and driver-assist technologies last year, the 2025 model introduces a new trim and a reduced starting price. The base price is set at $38,495 MSRP, which is $6,500 less than the previous model. The vehicle will be available nationwide early next year.
The 2025 Subaru Solterra comes in Premium, Limited, Touring, and the new Touring Onyx Edition trims. It qualifies for federal tax credits up to $7,500 for eligible buyers. The Touring Onyx Edition features 20-inch gloss black aluminum-alloy wheels and black accents inside and out. This edition is priced at $45,495 MSRP.
All Solterras include Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and StarDrive® Technology. This setup uses dual electric motors on both axles to provide 249 pound-feet of torque. The models also feature Dual-Function X-MODE® with Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud modes for improved off-road performance.
The high-capacity lithium-ion battery offers a substantial daily range and can charge from 10% to 80% in just 35 minutes using DC-fast charging. An enhanced battery conditioning system introduced last year improves charging in cold weather. Home charging options include Level 1 or Level 2 compatibility.
Each Solterra is equipped with EyeSight® driver-assist technologies such as Emergency Steering Assist and Pre-Collision Brake Assist. In 2024, it received a TOP SAFETY PICK+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
The infotainment system includes a high-resolution touchscreen with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. The Solterra offers five USB charge points: one USB-A and two USB-C connectors in front, plus two USB-C ports in the rear.
Trim Levels Overview
The Solterra Premium starts at $38,495 MSRP with features like roof rails with a static load capacity of 700 pounds and an 8-inch touchscreen for infotainment. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, SiriusXM radio (4-month trial), Bluetooth®, and SUBARU SOLTERRA CONNECT™ services.
The Limited trim adds comfort features like a power-adjustable driver's seat and heated rear seats for $41,995 MSRP. It includes a Harman Kardon® audio system with 11 speakers and Advanced Park assistance using sensors and cameras.
Touring Models
The Touring trim builds on the Limited's features with additions like a panoramic glass moonroof for $44,995 MSRP. It also includes heated front seats that are ventilated, LED footwell lighting, smart key access on all doors, and more.
The new Touring Onyx Edition offers exclusive styling elements such as black roof pillars and two-tone exterior colours. Inside, it features black StarTex® upholstery with matching accents on doors.
