Subaru Solterra And WRX Secure 2024 IIHS Top Safety Pick Honours
Subaru of America, Inc. announced that the 2024 Solterra all-electric SUV has been awarded the 2024 TOP SAFETY PICK+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Additionally, the WRX performance car received a 2024 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK award.
The 2024 Subaru Solterra is available in Premium, Limited, and Touring trims with a starting price of $44,995 MSRP. It is now available at Subaru retailers nationwide. The enhanced model offers new features to improve comfort, driver safety, and versatility without increasing the price from the previous year.

Jeff Walters, President and Chief Operating Officer of Subaru of America, Inc., stated: "Safety is at the heart of every one of our vehicles, and we're excited to add the Solterra and WRX to the growing list of Subaru models recognized by the IIHS this year with TOP SAFETY PICK awards."
The 2024 WRX, including the new WRX TR with performance-focused upgrades, is also available at Subaru retailers now. This fifth-generation WRX includes standard EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology on all models, even those with manual transmission. All WRX models feature a 271-horsepower, 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru BOXER engine and Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
For 2024, IIHS updated its criteria for TOP SAFETY PICK and TOP SAFETY PICK+ awards. The new standards focus on side impact protection, pedestrian front crash prevention systems, and moderate front overlap crash safety.
The 2024 WRX comes in five trim levels: Base, Premium, Limited, TR, and GT. The starting price for these models is $32,735 MSRP. A tablet-style 11.6-inch SUBARU STARLINK® Multimedia Plus system with wireless Android™ Auto and Apple CarPlay® compatibility is standard across all models for 2024.
