Skoda To Increase Prices Of Slavia & Kushaq From January 2025
Skoda Auto India has announced a price increase for its vehicles starting January 2025. This decision follows similar moves by other major carmakers in India. The company cites rising input and operational costs as the reason behind this adjustment. The Skoda Slavia will now start at Rs 10.80 lakh, while the Kushaq will begin at Rs 11.12 lakh, both ex-showroom prices.
The Skoda Kodiaq will also see a price rise, with its new starting price set at Rs 41.20 lakh. However, the Skoda Kylaq remains unaffected by this hike until it reaches 33,333 bookings. Currently, the Kylaq is priced from Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 14.40 lakh for the top Prestige trim.

Skoda Kylaq: Design and Features
The Skoda Kylaq is notable for being the first model in India to showcase Skoda's Modern-Solid design language. It features split headlamps and a boxy profile with short overhangs. The signature butterfly grille has been updated with modern touches, complemented by LED headlamps and DRLs.
Inside, the Kylaq offers a digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in higher trims. Mid-level variants have a five-inch touchscreen, while base models lack an infotainment system altogether.

Skoda Kylaq: Engine Specifications
The Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission with torque converter technology.
The vehicle's dimensions are slightly different from competitors like the Mahindra XUV 3XO, measuring 3,995 mm in length, 1,783 mm in width, and 1,619 mm in height. This makes it marginally longer but narrower and shorter than its rival.
Skoda Kylaq: Market Position
With over 10,000 bookings since December 2nd, the Skoda Kylaq has quickly gained traction in India's subcompact SUV segment. It competes against models like the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
The Prestige variant of the Kylaq includes premium features such as six-way power-adjustable front seats with ventilation and all-leatherette upholstery paired with an electric sunroof. Other variants offer unique cabin upholsteries ranging from fabric to dual-tone options.
