Škoda Celebrates Third-Generation Superb With High-Performance Sleeper Edition
Škoda UK has introduced the Superb Sleeper Edition, a high-performance estate car with an unassuming exterior. This special edition is based on the standard Superb Estate 280PS but features significant upgrades, including a 477PS engine and 661Nm of torque. The engine enhancements include a larger turbo and an improved fuel system.
The engineering team behind this model, RE Performance, also worked on the record-breaking Octavia Bonneville. They have equipped the Superb Sleeper Edition with all-wheel drive and various mechanical modifications. These changes boost the car's power from 280PS to 477PS and torque from 350Nm to 661Nm.
To ensure optimal handling and braking, the car's height is reduced by 50mm compared to the standard model. It features a race-bred coil-over suspension and a performance brake kit with larger grooved discs and upgraded callipers.
Despite its powerful performance, the Superb Sleeper Edition maintains an unmodified appearance. It is finished in Royal Green, a colour introduced in 2023 to mark King Charles III's coronation. The interior boasts Cognac tan perforated leather with contrast stitching and a driver seat massage function.
The Lauren & Klement flagship model offers extensive equipment, including Full Matrix LED headlights with AFS, Lane Assist, an electrically operated boot with Virtual Pedal, Park Assist, and a Rear View Parking camera. Inside, it features Tri-zone climate control, a heated windscreen, and a heated three-spoke leather multifunction steering wheel.

The third-generation Superb has been highly successful since its premiere in Prague in 2015. It introduced several technical innovations to Škoda's range, including Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive chassis and three-zone air conditioning. Over its production run, more than half of the 1.6 million Superbs sold were from this generation.
The new fourth-generation Superb went on sale in June 2024, offering even more space, comfort, and technology. To celebrate the success of the third-generation model, Škoda UK commissioned the unique Superb Sleeper Edition.
