2024 Skoda Superb Launched In India At Rs 54 Lakh - Limited To Just 100 Units
Czech carmaker Skoda has launched the 2024 Superb in India. The 2024 Skoda Superb is priced at Rs 54 lakh(ex-showroom) and is offered only in the top-spec Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim level.
The reason for the extreme price tag? The 2024 Skoda Superb will be limited to just 100 units that will be imported into India as Completely Built Units (CBUs). Customers can book the 2024 Skoda Superb online or at their nearest Skoda dealership and deliveries will commence later this month.
The new Skoda Superb for India draws power from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that has been updated to meet BS6 Phase 2 emission norms (the real reason why the Superb had been discontinued in the first place).
The 2024 Superb's turbocharged 2.0-litre four-pot powerplant pushes out a healthy 187bhp and 320Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels of the new Superb by a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
The 2024 Superb for India features a chromed-out version of the Czech firm's butterfly grille, a fully LED lighting setup - headlights, DRLs, fog lights and tail lights, and new 18-inch alloy wheels.
Step inside the cabin of the new Skoda Superb for India and you're greeted by displays for the infotainment (9.2-inches) and instrumentation (10.2-inches). The infotainment screen supports wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Those at the front can enjoy the sound of the 12-speaker (11 tweeters + 1 sub-woofer), 610W Canton audio system from their 12-way electrically adjustable seats. The driver's seat also features massage and memory functions. The new Superb also features 3-zone climate control, LED interior lights, a two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel and roll-up sun visors for the rear windows and windscreen.
The boot of the Superb continues to be large at 620 litres thanks to its hatch-like opening and becomes even more gargantuan at 1,760 litres with the rear seats folded down.
In terms of safety features, the 2024 Skoda Superb arrives in India with 5-star safety ratings for both adult and child occupants from Euro NCAP. The new Superb packs 9 airbags, TPMS, fatigue/drowsiness detector park assist with emergency braking and a 360-degree camera.
The 2024 Skoda Superb L&K is offered in three colour options - Magic Black, Rosso Brunello and Water World Green.
