Škoda Unveils Most Powerful Octavia VRS And New SportLine Model
The updated Octavia vRS, available from £38,670 OTR, now boasts a 2.0 TSI engine producing 265PS. This makes it the most powerful production Octavia ever offered by Škoda. The new model will be available to order from 14 August 2024.
The revised Octavia vRS features a restyled exterior with gloss black trim and 19-inch wheels. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned, and a new vRS logo adorns the radiator grille. Black accents on the grille surround, side window trim, door mirrors, bumper diffuser, and tailpipes enhance its sporty look.
Inside, the vRS Design Selection includes a three-spoke multifunction leather steering wheel and aluminium pedal covers. Sports seats with red stitching and lumbar support offer comfort and style. A large 13" infotainment system and a 10" Virtual Cockpit come as standard.
Škoda has also introduced a new diesel-powered SportLine model featuring a 2.0 TDI engine with 150PS. This variant joins the existing petrol options in the SportLine range, which starts at £35,775 OTR. The diesel engine offers a combined fuel consumption of 60.6mpg (59.9mpg for the Estate).
The SportLine models come with sporty looks including 18-inch Vega Aero black alloy wheels, metallic paint, and gloss black trim for various exterior elements. Inside, they feature sports seats, a black headlining, and carbon-effect door inserts.
Technical Specifications
{TABLE_X}The updated Octavia vRS is powered by an improved 2.0 TSI four-cylinder petrol unit from the EA888 family, similar to that in Škoda’s Fabia RS Rally2 car. It delivers peak power of 265PS and torque of 370Nm through a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.
This setup allows the hatch to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 6.4 seconds (6.5 seconds for the estate). Despite its performance capabilities, it maintains efficiency with a WLTP combined fuel consumption figure of 40.8mpg (40.3mpg for the estate).
Advanced Technology Features
The new vRS models come equipped with advanced technology including an electrically operated boot with virtual pedal, Keyless entry and start/stop system, and blind spot detection. Front passengers benefit from fast-charging USB-C ports and wireless charging with active ventilation.
Rear passengers enjoy their own air-conditioning zone along with fast-charging USB-C ports. The chassis is lowered by 15mm to improve driving dynamics further.

The company currently offers eleven passenger-car series including Fabia, Scala, Octavia, Superb, Kamiq, Karoq, Kodiaq, Enyaq Coupé, Slavia, and Kushaq. In 2023 alone, Škoda delivered over 866,000 vehicles globally.

The new Octavia vRS models will sit above the current SportLine models in Škoda’s lineup when orders open on August 14th.
