Skoda has entered the Indian sub-4m SUV market with its Kylaq SUV. Though positioned a segment below, the Skoda Kylaq is based on the same MQB-A0 IN platform as the bigger Skoda Kushaq SUV. As such, here is a quick comparison between the Kylaq SUV and the Nissan Magnite SUV.
Powertrain
The Skoda Kylaq shares its engine and transmission with the Kushaq. It features a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI turbo petrol engine with 114bhp and 178Nm of torque. Also, transmission options include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit.

Features
Inside both SUVs are modern features aimed at enhancing connectivity, safety, and convenience. The Kylaq includes an 8-inch Virtual Cockpit, a 10.1-inch infotainment display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, along with 25 standard safety features such as six airbags.
Meanwhile, the Nissan Magnite offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch TFT driver display, leatherette interior elements, a PM2.5 air purifier, and over 40 standard safety features.
Design Highlights & Dimensions
The Skoda Kylaq's design borrows from the Kushaq with elements like Skoda's signature grille, sleek LED DRLs, and stylish 17-inch alloy wheels among other sporty design cues. In contrast, the Nissan Magnite presents a sportier appearance with striking LED DRLs, rugged skid plates, and prominent wheel arches that enhance its bold road presence.
In terms of dimensions, both SUVs are closely matched; however, the Kylaq slightly edges out in width and height while offering a larger boot space of 446 litres compared to Magnite's 366 litres.
