Skoda Kylaq Full Pricing Details To Be Revealed On December 2
Skoda India is set to reveal the full pricing details for all variants of the Kylaq compact SUV on December 2, 2024. The company had previously announced the starting price at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-show). On the same day, Skoda will begin accepting bookings for this eagerly awaited model. Deliveries are scheduled to commence from January 27.
The Kylaq represents Skoda India's entry into the competitive compact SUV market. It is their smallest SUV offering and is available in four trims: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. The vehicle shares many components with the Kushaq, allowing Skoda to offer it at a competitive price point.
Under the bonnet, the Kylaq features a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 115hp and 178Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The car boasts an impressive acceleration, with a claimed 0-100kph time of approximately 10.5 seconds.
All trims of the Kylaq come equipped with a balanced mix of comfort and safety features. Notably, an automatic gearbox option is available across all variants, providing flexibility for different driving preferences.
The initial pricing announcement of Rs 7.89 lakh took many by surprise due to its affordability in such a competitive segment. Sources suggest that prices for other variants will also be attractively positioned to appeal to a broad range of customers.
The Kylaq faces competition from established models like the Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon. These rivals have already made their mark in the compact SUV segment.
