Updated Skoda Kushaq, Slavia To Come With More Features Including ADAS

Skoda is set to enhance the feature list of its popular models, the Kushaq and Slavia, as part of its strategic push in the Indian market. This initiative comes ahead of introducing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) 2.0 with their upcoming facelifts.

Both the Skoda Kushaq SUV and Slavia sedan have been critical components of Skoda's India 2.0 strategy, having been in the Indian automobile market for 2.5 and 2 years, respectively.

Janeba acknowledged the feature gap with rivals and committed to bridging it. Notably, updates will include the addition of a 360-degree camera among other premium features, aiming to bolster the cars' appeal until their refreshed versions debut.

ADAS Technology on the Horizon

Another significant upgrade planned for these models is the incorporation of Level-2 ADAS technology, a feature already present in several of their competitors. With the facelifts, Skoda intends to integrate these systems gradually across the MQB A0-IN platform, which also includes upcoming compact SUV, set to launch in March 2025.

Feature-Rich Special Editions

Skoda has been proactive in introducing special editions of the Kushaq and Slavia, such as Elegance, Style, and Matte versions. This strategy will continue, alongside expanding the features list to include modern tech enhancements like the 360-degree camera, ensuring the models stay competitive in the lead-up to the introduction of ADAS 2.0.

Compact SUV: A Focus on Driving Dynamics

While the upcoming Skoda compact SUV may not launch as the most feature-laden vehicle in its segment, the company plans to distinguish it through superior driving dynamics and manoeuvrability.

Janeba emphasized the importance of being competitive in both package and price to stand out among key rivals in the segment. This approach reflects Skoda's commitment to not just responding to market demands but anticipating them to deliver compelling products.

Skoda is on a steadfast path to enhance its product lineup in India, with the Kushaq and Slavia set to receive significant updates. The introduction of ADAS 2.0 with the facelifts and the launch of a feature-packed compact SUV in March 2025 underline Skoda's ambition to hit 1 lakh annual sales by 2026.
