Škoda Expands Electric SUV Line With Affordable Enyaq 50 Models
Škoda has expanded its Enyaq electric SUV range with two new entry-level models, the Enyaq 50 and Enyaq 50 Edition. These models are priced from £36,970, making them more affordable by £2,000 compared to the outgoing Enyaq 60 model. Orders for these new models have been open since 11 July 2024.
The Enyaq 50 and Enyaq 50 Edition come with a 55kWh battery pack (52kWh net), offering a range of up to 234 miles and 232 miles respectively on the WLTP cycle. The rear-mounted electric motor produces 170PS and 310Nm of torque, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 9.1 seconds, with a top speed of 99mph.
Both models feature impressive charging capabilities. They support a peak DC charge speed of 145kW and an AC connection charge speed of 11kW. Charging to 80% on a suitable DC rapid charger takes around 25 minutes, while a full charge on an 11kW AC connection requires approximately five hours and 30 minutes.
The new Enyaq models come well-equipped with standard features including 19-inch Proteus alloy wheels, Loft interior Design Selection, and a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment display with navigation. Safety features are also comprehensive across both models.
The Enyaq 50 Edition adds further enhancements such as full LED Matrix beam headlights, full LED rear lights, heated front seats and steering wheel, privacy glass, Crew protect assist, front and rear side airbags, and a central interaction airbag. Additional features include tri-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and cooled wireless charging (15W).
Revised Line-Up
The revised Enyaq range now starts at £36,970 for the Enyaq 50 model, while the Enyaq 50 Edition is priced at £38,585. The line-up has been streamlined to include the Enyaq 85 Edition, Enyaq 85x Sportline Plus, Enyaq 85 L&K, and the top-tier Enyaq vRS. All Enyaq 85 variants are equipped with a larger 82kWh (77kWh net) battery pack.
Škoda continues to offer an eight-year or 100,000-mile battery warranty (with at least 70% capacity remaining) for all new Enyaq models. This warranty underscores Škoda's commitment to providing reliable electric vehicles.
