Singer Offers Custom Turbocharged Restorations For Porsche 911 Models

Singer has showcased its collaboration with Porsche 911 owners through a Family Portrait, featuring four reimagined models: coupe, slantnose coupe, targa, and cabriolet. This initiative highlights the extent of personalization available through Singer’s Classic Turbo Services.

Rob Dickinson, Singer Founder and Executive Chairman, remarked on the significance of the 911 Turbo's fiftieth anniversary. He stated, "The 911 Turbo was launched fifty years ago. Since then it has been a poster child, autobahn hero and race winner, loved by drivers and enthusiasts around the world. We’re excited to be collaborating with owners to celebrate this icon of road and track and to wish the turbocharged 911 a very happy birthday."

Each restoration project begins with an owner's Porsche 911, which is reimagined around the Type 964 chassis. The restorations are tailored to reflect individual preferences, ensuring each car is unique. Only 25 allocations for slantnose coupe restorations were made available, all of which have been claimed.

The restored vehicles feature an evolved version of their original Mezger flat-six engines. These engines are enhanced with twin turbochargers that use variable turbine geometry and air-water intercooling to achieve an output of 510HP. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

Singer’s approach combines modern engineering with meticulous attention to detail. Traction control and electronic stability control systems developed in collaboration with Bosch ensure optimal performance. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres further enhance driving dynamics.

Owners can customize their cars for either sports or grand touring-focused driving experiences. This flexibility allows each vehicle to meet the specific desires of its owner.
