Scott Speed To Race Alongside Travis Pastrana At Goodwood Festival 2024
Travis Pastrana and the Subaru Family Huckster are set to return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 11-14. Following their impressive performances in Gymkhana 2022 and the 2022 and 2023 Shootout Hillclimbs, they aim to captivate audiences once again. This year, they will be joined by some notable friends.
Joining Pastrana is Scott Speed, a four-time rallycross champion and Subaru Motorsports USA driver. Speed has a diverse racing background, including stints in Formula One and NASCAR. He will pilot a new machine known internally as "Project Midnight" at this year's event.
Project Midnight is making its debut at the Festival of Speed. This unreleased vehicle is unlike anything Subaru Motorsports USA has showcased before. Its design and mission differ significantly from the Family Huckster, yet it retains a wild streak in both appearance and performance.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of Travis Pastrana and the Subaru Family Huckster to Goodwood in 2024. The Huckster, an outrageous 1983 Subaru GL wagon with carbon fibre panels, active aero, and an 862-horsepower turbocharged Subaru Boxer engine, has become a crowd favourite.
In 2023, the Family Huckster finished second overall (first in class) at Goodwood, only behind the $4-million McLaren Solus GT track car. This achievement earned Pastrana his second podium finish at the hillclimb.
A Thrilling Event Awaits
The combination of the Family Huckster and Project Midnight promises an exciting spectacle on the English countryside. The event is expected to be loud, fast, and immensely entertaining for all attendees.
