Saudi Arabia’s Speed Park: Could This be the New High-Speed F1 rack?

The New Speed Park Track located in Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya City, expected to be ready in 2027 has had its first Computer Generated images revealed. The images show incredible features like a 20-story high turn on the first corner.

Saudi Arabia has a signed agreement with F1 to hold races in Saudi Arabia until the end of 2030. Currently, the Saudi Arabian GP has been held in the Jeddah Street Track since 2021, however, the Qiddiya venue is expected to be the next track of choice for the Saudi Arabian GP once it is operational.

The new Speed Park Track which is located outside the capital of Saudi, Riyadh, has been designed by Herman Tilke(who has also worked on the Buddh International Circuit, Circuit of the Americas, Yas Marina Circuit, and others) as well as retired F1 driver Alex Wurz.

The Speed Park Track is expected to have a street section that runs through multiple Qiddiya City highlights like the Six Flags Qiddiya City Rollercoaster known to be one of the world's scariest amusement parks.

Expected to set fire to the hearts of racing fans, the Speed Park Track’s very first section after the start-line is going to have a 70m tall banking corner known as the 'Blade’, there are plans for a concert arena which can also be converted in a terrace bleacher for viewing of races, sure to experience some exhilarating starts.

Expected to have 21 turns, straights where cars can get up to 325km/h, an anti-clockwise layout with 108 meters of elevation change and three DRS activation zones, the Speed Park Track is set to be a thrilling track for both drivers and spectators.

Saudi Arabia’s Speed Park Track is going to be a world-class racetrack with what seems to be some exciting features. With the chance of the F1 being shifted from the Jeddah Street Track to the new Speed Park Track in Qiddiya, spectators can expect some amazing races to come in the future.
