Sasha Selipanov Debuts Nilu27 Hypercar Brand With V12-Powered Vehicle
Nilu27, a company founded by Sasha and Inna Selipanov, is set to introduce a unique vehicle lineup over the next decade. The journey begins this summer with the debut of their first vehicle, the V12-powered NILU hypercar, at Pebble Beach during Monterey Car Week in August. The company name combines the founders’ daughters’ names, Nica and Lucia.
Sasha Selipanov’s legacy in sports car design includes notable projects such as the Lamborghini Huracán, Bugatti Chiron, and Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo. He also contributed to the design of the Koenigsegg Gemera and Koenigsegg CC850. With over two decades in the automotive industry, Sasha brings extensive experience to Nilu27.
Inna Selipanov co-founded Nilu27, leveraging her expertise in marketing and business development. The couple has collaborated dynamically during their tenures at Genesis and Koenigsegg. Their combined skills aim to disrupt the automotive industry with this new venture.
Sasha believes that sports car development has strayed by trying to meet too many criteria. He aims to focus on what defines a sports car by creating vehicles that engage the senses emotionally. The NILU hypercar promises an authentic analog driving experience with a naturally aspirated engine designed to excite drivers.
"One of my most vivid childhood memories was seeing an old magazine clipping of Gilles Villeneuve in his #27 F1 car power sliding out of a corner," Sasha recalled. "This passion took me on a rollercoaster ride through my career, culminating in Nilu27. Now, my team and I are finally able to explore the quintessential automotive themes of beauty and brutality without limitations."
Pebble Beach Debut
The NILU hypercar will be revealed first to industry insiders in Los Angeles in early August. It will then be showcased to the public and media on August 15 at Pebble Beach Golf Course during Monterey Car Week. The vehicle will appear at various events throughout the week, concluding with its presence on the Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 17-18.
