Sacrilege Motors To Debut Enigma Coupe At Pebble Beach, Elevating Electric Luxury

Sacrilege Motors is set to unveil its latest creation, Enigma, at the 2024 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 18. This widebody, sunroof-delete 1990 964 coupe has been meticulously restored to concours-level quality, featuring a striking Arabian Grey exterior. The bespoke interior is tailored to each owner's preferences, enveloping the driver in the world's finest Italian hand-stitched leather.

The Enigma's interior harmoniously blends vintage aesthetics with modern conveniences. Vintage round gauges provide crucial information to optimise the electric drivetrain’s performance. Modern touches include a centre-mounted MagSafe charger and a Bluetooth audio system. Leather door pulls and a proper ignition key reinforce the vintage sportscar vibe.

Phil Wagenheim and Bobby Singh of Sacrilege Motors first captured attention last year with their Blackbird model at the 2023 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The triple black 964 America Roadster, featuring all-electric power, was a hit among enthusiasts and journalists alike. This year, they aim to impress again with Enigma.

Sacrilege Motors has reimagined the legendary air-cooled sportscar to create an entirely new driving experience. The handling and steering feel are familiar, yet the acceleration and performance elevate the icon to something completely different. A state-of-the-art Fellten drivetrain is wrapped in a completely restored factory steel wide body, either coupe or roadster, and finished in any colour desired, topped with six layers of clearcoat and fully wrapped in paint protection film.

The custom motor delivers 500 horsepower and 500 newton-metres of torque without increasing the weight of the original ice-powered vehicle, delivering near supercar performance. This lightweight package was optimised for drivers with custom-developed three-way adjustable Penske Racing shocks and Brembo six-piston brakes to deliver nimbleness and driving feel unmatched by other EVs.

CEO's Vision

Sacrilege Motors CEO Phil Wagenheim expressed his excitement about returning to Pebble Beach: "Our experience last year when we debuted Blackbird, and the global response we received, was truly overwhelming. We’re excited to return to showcase Enigma, our first coupe, to this very discerning audience." He emphasised their goal of preserving the unique Porsche experience through meticulous engineering efforts.

President Bobby Singh echoed Wagenheim’s enthusiasm: "We’re engineering and developing our cars at Lime Rock Park to deliver a true Porsche driving experience." He highlighted that their cars are not only beautiful but also offer an unparalleled driving experience that outperforms many vintage racing machines.
