Sacrilege Motors Debuts Electrified Enigma Coupe At The Bridge
Sacrilege Motors, a bespoke performance and electric-conversion studio, has been invited back to The Bridge for their annual exhibition of classic and racing cars. This event is held at a private golf club on the historic Bridgehampton Race Circuit grounds. Sacrilege Motors first made waves in 2023 with the debut of their Blackbird Roadster and now introduces the Enigma coupe.
The Enigma coupe, finished in Arabian Grey, is a widebody, sunroof-delete model. It offers automotive enthusiasts an option between an open-top or closed-roof classic. Sacrilege Motors provides a Virtual Showroom where buyers can design their dream build. This showroom was created by Brigade, known for custom configurators for Singer Vehicles and Bollinger Motors.
Sacrilege Motors has reimagined the iconic air-cooled sports car to deliver a new driving experience. The familiar handling and steering are retained, but acceleration and performance have been significantly enhanced. The vehicle features a state-of-the-art Fellten drivetrain within a restored factory steel wide body, available as either a coupe or roadster.
Inside, each car is tailored to the owner's preferences with bespoke interiors featuring Italian hand-stitched leather. Vintage round gauges provide essential information for maximising the electric drivetrain's performance. Modern touches include a MagSafe charger and a high-powered Bluetooth audio system.
The Enigma boasts 500 horsepower and 500 newton-meters of torque, offering near supercar performance while maintaining weight distribution similar to the original internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle. Custom-developed Penske Racing shocks and Brembo six-piston brakes ensure nimbleness and unmatched driving feel for an EV.
Sacrilege Motors CEO Phil Wagenheim expressed excitement about returning to The Bridge event. "Our experience last year proved that this is truly one of North America’s great automotive events," he said. "We’re excited to return to showcase Enigma, our first coupe, to this very discerning audience."
Company Background
Sacrilege Motors was founded in 2020 by finance entrepreneur Phil Wagenheim and Porsche expert Bobby Singh. Both founders are passionate owners of air-cooled Porsche 911s. Their mission is to create captivating EV-conversion Porsche 911s that retain the unique driving dynamics while reducing maintenance needs and environmental impact.
Bobby Singh also shared his enthusiasm for showcasing their cars at such a historic venue. "Bridgehampton was the first track I ever went to—it was a Porsche event—way back in 1990," he recalled. "The Sacrilege Motors cars are so dialed in; they would be quicker than some of the purpose-built racing machines that battled it out there back in the day."
Virtual Showroom
The Sacrilege Motors Virtual Showroom allows consumers complete control over their bespoke vehicle design. Available at SacrilegeMotors.com, it enables enthusiasts to create their dream build with ease.
Sacrilege Motors restores 1974-1994 Porsche 911s to concours-level quality, focusing on driving dynamics, performance, interior design, and reliable electric conversion. They do not manufacture or sell automobiles but specialise in restoring and converting these classic vehicles.
Phil Wagenheim highlighted their engineering efforts: "Through our countless hours of engineering, and our outstanding partners at Fellten and Penske Racing Shocks, we think we’ve nailed it." He added that global responses indicate they resonate well with others too.
Sacrilege Motors emphasises that their product should always be referred to as a restored Porsche 911 converted to electric power by Sacrilege Motors out of respect for Porsche's trademark rights.
