Ryvid Unveils Outset Electric Motorcycle: Affordable Urban Commuting Redefined
Ryvid, a California-based innovator in electric motorcycles, has recently unveiled its latest model, the Ryvid Outset. With a competitive price tag of $5,995, the Outset is designed to cater to both commuting and multi-road adventures, offering an affordable entry into the electric motorcycle market. This new model shares several core components with Ryvid's flagship model, the Anthem, including the ability for riders to convert between models to meet their riding preferences.
The Outset is engineered for versatility, featuring enhanced suspension travel and a longer motocross-style seat for comfort over various terrains. It is equipped with Dunlop Mutant tires, ideal for urban exploration and more rugged adventures. At its core, the Outset maintains the Anthem's rigid steel frame, a 4.3kWh battery with an integrated charger, air-cooled motor, controller, and a sealed belt drive system. This model boasts a range of up to 70 miles and can reach speeds exceeding 75mph.
Unique to the Outset are its distinct headlight design, mirrors, wider handlebar, and a seat unit tailored for an upright riding position. Adjustments include forward-repositioned footpegs and a longer kickstand to accommodate the bike's design changes. By simplifying certain features and reducing the number of body panels, Ryvid has successfully introduced the Outset at a lower price point than the Anthem.
The introduction of the Outset at $5,995 follows Ryvid's strategic move to a new assembly facility in San Bernardino, CA. This relocation has led to reduced parts costs and more efficient production processes, allowing Ryvid to lower the price of the Anthem to $6,495 while introducing the Outset at an even more accessible price. This pricing strategy underscores Ryvid's commitment to making electric motorcycles available to a wider audience.
For existing Anthem owners interested in transitioning to the Outset model, Ryvid offers conversion parts available through an Interactive 3D Parts Catalog on their website. This feature provides customers with an economical option to modify their current motorcycles into the new Outset model.
The Ryvid Outset is now available for pre-order in two color options: Sector Red or Vapor Grey, with deliveries expected in the summer of 2024. Meanwhile, the Ryvid Anthem remains available for immediate delivery in six different colors. Both models require riders to have a motorcycle license for operation.
Ryvid's latest offering represents a significant step forward in making electric motorcycles more accessible and affordable without compromising on performance or versatility.
