Rolls-Royce's Future Talent: Welcoming The Internship Class Of 2024-25

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has introduced 90 new interns to its Internship Programme at the Goodwood facility. These interns will engage in paid, full-time roles across various departments, gaining essential work experience as part of their undergraduate studies. The Internship Programme is a crucial component of Rolls-Royce's Future Talent Programme, with applications for the 2025-26 intake opening later this year.

"Welcoming a new cohort of interns to the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood is always very special. We’re inspired and excited by their potential, commitment and enthusiasm. The interns will spend 13 months learning from our experienced team, but their fresh ideas and perspectives mean we also learn a lot from them. Our Future Talent Programme is central to the long-term future of our business, and many of our interns return to the business following the completion of their university studies. I have no doubt that the ‘class of 2024-25’ will be no different. We’re delighted to welcome our new colleagues and we look forward to watching them grow and develop with us." - Mark Adams, Director of Human Resources, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Rolls-Royce's New Intern Class of 2024-25

The new batch of interns for 2024-25 has begun their enriching 13-month journey at Rolls-Royce's Goodwood facility. These undergraduates are pursuing various degree courses at universities across the UK. During their time at Rolls-Royce, they will work alongside seasoned Engineers, Bespoke Designers, and professionals in departments such as Finance, Sales and Marketing, IT, Human Resources, and Corporate Communications.

To help ease their transition from academia to the workplace, a networking day was organised earlier this year at Goodwood. This event was led by current interns who provided insights into the programme and allowed new interns to meet their future managers and peers.

Although an internship does not guarantee future employment with Rolls-Royce, many former interns return after graduation to build long-term careers within the company. One notable example is Luke Strudwick, who started as an intern in 2017 with the Communications team. After completing his degree, he was hired as a Corporate Communications Executive and has since progressed through various roles.

"The Internship Programme at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is incredibly rewarding, and it has provided me with the skills, confidence and business acumen to allow me to progress in my career. The support and responsibility provided to interns, along with the experience of working for such a prestigious marque has supported my development and resulted in me further progressing my career within the company." - Luke Strudwick

Commitment to Future Talent

The Internship Programme has been running annually since Rolls-Royce began production at Goodwood in 2003. It forms a key part of the company's Future Talent Programme which also includes Apprenticeships (with Degree options) and a Graduate scheme. Rolls-Royce is dedicated to investing in individuals from diverse backgrounds to help them achieve their professional potential.

Rolls-Royce's continuous investment in its facilities, products, and people has led to several record years for global sales. In 2023 alone, over 6,000 motor cars were sold worldwide. An independent study by the London School of Economics & Political Science confirmed that since launching at Goodwood in 2003, Rolls-Royce has contributed more than £4 billion to the UK economy annually adding over £500 million in economic value.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars operates independently from Rolls-Royce plc., which manufactures aircraft engines and propulsion systems. The company remains committed to creating handcrafted bespoke products for its international clientele from its headquarters in Goodwood.

The company looks forward to seeing how these new interns grow during their time at Rolls-Royce and hopes many will return post-graduation to contribute further.
