StarterMotor Joins REVS For The 2024 Pilgrim Tour: A Classic Car Journey Through South Wales
REVS is thrilled to announce its fourth annual Pilgrim Tour, scheduled for October 11th-13th. This event allows car enthusiasts to drive along the historic Pilgrim routes in South Wales. Partnering with StarterMotor, REVS will offer two specially nominated guests the chance to drive a classic car from StarterMotor’s Drive-It Fleet for the entire tour.
StarterMotor aims to immerse younger audiences in the world of historic cars. This aligns perfectly with REVS' values of hospitality, generosity, restoration, and integrity. The collaboration will enable two deserving individuals, who have faced life challenges affecting their wellbeing and have never participated in a vehicle tour, to enjoy this unique experience.
Nominations are open until August 23rd. The wider motoring community is encouraged to nominate individuals who would benefit most from this opportunity. Proposers can submit names via email to [email protected], including a brief explanation of why their nominee deserves this chance.
The REVS Pilgrim Tour embodies the essence of a pilgrimage by offering participants a purposeful journey. It provides an opportunity for reflection and restoration, taking time away from daily demands for better wellbeing. The tour welcomes people of all faiths and beliefs.
Morgan and James, experienced ambassadors from StarterMotor, will join the drive and offer technical support to the winners driving the charity car. Morgan expressed his excitement: "I’m really looking forward to joining the REVS Pilgrim Tour in a StarterMotor car, as well as giving technical support to the worthy winners who will be driving the other charity car."
An All-Expenses-Paid Adventure
The selected guests will be invited to Bicester Heritage on October 11th to collect their classic car for the weekend. They will also get a tour of the historic site, followed by a familiarisation briefing and laps around the Bicester Heritage track with the StarterMotor team. Afterward, a convoy will depart for Carmarthen, South Wales.
HERO-ERA joins StarterMotor in supporting this year's event by providing an all-expenses-paid weekend for the two nominees. HERO-ERA is renowned for hosting historic rallies worldwide, including Peking to Paris and London to Lisbon. Their Rally for the Ages initiative encourages younger enthusiasts into grassroots historic rallying.
