Renault Master Secures Its Fifth International Van Of The Year Title For 2025
The fourth generation Renault Master was named the International Van of the Year 2025 at the ‘Night of the Stars’ Gala Banquet during the IAA Transportation 2024 event in Hannover, Germany on Monday, 16th September. The expert adjudication panel, representing 25 countries across Europe, unanimously voted for the new Renault Master as their top choice.
This marks the fifth time in the 33-year history of the International Van of the Year Award (IVOTY) that Renault Group has received this prestigious honour. Previous wins include the second generation Master in 1998, Trafic in 2002, Kangoo Z.E. in 2012, and Kangoo Van in 2022 (shared with Mercedes-Benz Citan II). Now, the new Master continues this legacy for 2025.
For the first time, joint runners-up were elected. The new Ford E-Transit Custom and Stellantis ProOne Large Van range shared second place on the podium. Other candidates included the new Ford Transit Courier and the latest Mercedes-Benz eSprinter.
The IVOTY jury praised Renault's new design and high levels of innovation and technology in the new Master range. Key features include advanced aerodynamics, increased usability, enhanced efficiency, space, safety, and comfort. The modular platform accommodates diesel, electric, and hydrogen powertrains.
Jarlath Sweeney, Chairman of the International Van of the Year Award jury, commented: "The IVOTY jury were impressed with the complete new design and high levels of innovation and technology developed for the new Master range... Congratulations to Renault Light Commercials on this well-deserved achievement."

Heinz-Jürgen Löw, Head of LCV Renault Group, expressed his gratitude upon receiving the IVOTY 2025 trophy at Messe Hannover: "Receiving this award for our new Master is truly special and means a lot for us.
