Renault India Faces 19% Sales Decline Amid Future Model Launches

Renault India has experienced a 19% dip in sales, with 32,167 units sold by September 2024 compared to 40,020 in the same period last year. This decline is attributed to reduced buyer interest, particularly in the lower market segments where Renault operates. In 2025, Renault plans to enter the premium segment by introducing localised versions of the Duster and Bigster. Following these launches, a facelift for the Kiger is expected. Additionally, Renault is set to introduce a small electric vehicle, likely an electric variant of the Kwid.

Upcoming Models and Electric Vehicle Plans

Earlier in 2024, Renault updated features for its Kwid, Kiger, and Triber models. To celebrate the festive season, they released a limited 'Day and Night Edition' for these models. Only 1,600 units are available on a first-come basis.
