Renault Bigster SUV To Unveil At Paris Motor Show: Premium Features And Spacious Interiors Expected Interior
The upcoming Renault Bigster SUV, a three-row vehicle based on the new Duster, is set to debut at the Paris Motor Show next month. This seven-seater SUV will eventually be introduced in India under the Renault brand. The Bigster will measure around 4.6 metres in length, making it approximately 300mm longer than the two-row Duster.
Renault Bigster: Design and Features
The Bigster shares many components with the Duster, including the CMF-B platform, some body panels, seats, dashboard, steering wheel, and mechanical parts. It will feature a slightly longer wheelbase and larger rear doors compared to the Duster, similar to Hyundai's approach with the Alcazar. To justify its higher price tag, the SUV will incorporate more premium materials and additional creature comforts.

Engine Options and Terrain Modes
Engine options for the Bigster are expected to mirror those of the Duster. These include either a 1.2-litre turbo petrol or a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine. Depending on the market, it will offer both 4x2 and 4x4 options. Although it won't have a proper 4x4 setup like the ladder-frame-based Jimny, it will feature terrain modes such as Auto, Snow, Mud/Sand, off-road, and Eco.
India Launch Timeline
In India, the new Duster is anticipated to return in the second half of 2025. The launch of the Bigster will follow after that of the Duster. Additionally, Nissan derivatives of these two SUVs are expected to go on sale after the new Duster's launch in India.
When introduced in India, the Bigster will compete with models like Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus. Meanwhile, the Duster will rival vehicles such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, and Toyota Hyryder.
The Renault Bigster aims to provide a more spacious alternative to its predecessor while offering enhanced features and comfort. This move aligns with Renault's strategy to cater to families seeking larger vehicles without compromising on quality or performance.
By incorporating elements from both Renault and Nissan derivatives into its design and functionality, the Bigster is poised to attract a diverse range of customers looking for versatility and reliability in their SUVs.
