Ram 1500 Achieves Recognition As MotorTrend's 2025 Truck Of The Year For Performance And Luxury
The Ram 1500 has been named the 2025 Truck of the Year by MotorTrend after extensive testing. The truck impressed editors with its performance, particularly the 3.0-liter Hurricane Straight-Six Turbo engine, which can produce up to 540 horsepower. The variety of trim levels, from luxurious Tungsten to rugged RHO, also contributed to its high scores.

This accolade marks the seventh time a Ram pickup has received this prestigious title since becoming a standalone brand in 2009. Previous wins were in 2010, 2013, 2014, 2019, 2020, and 2021. These awards highlight vehicles that offer exceptional value and class superiority.
MotorTrend's "Of the Year" awards are highly sought after in the automotive industry. They represent excellence in categories like design advancement, engineering quality, efficiency, safety, value, and performance. The Ram 1500 excelled across these criteria during testing.
The Ram 1500 stands out with its advanced features and technology. It includes a multi-link independent rear suspension with optional air suspension for superior ride quality. Inside, it boasts a Uconnect 5 system with a new 14.5-inch touchscreen and a segment-first passenger screen.
Additional features include a head-up display and an ultra-premium Klipsch Reference audio system with 23 speakers. Safety is enhanced with Hands-free Active Driving Assist and Level 2+ autonomous driving capabilities.
Comprehensive Testing Process
MotorTrend's evaluation process involves rigorous testing at professional facilities. Trucks are assessed on various aspects including performance on real-world roads while loaded or towing. Off-road capabilities are also tested before selecting a winner.
