BYD India Names Rajeev Chauhan As New Vice President
Rajeev Chauhan has been appointed as the Vice President of the Electric Passenger Vehicle Business at BYD India. He succeeds Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, who is retiring after more than 30 years in the Indian automotive industry. Gopalakrishnan's last role involved establishing the EV Passenger Vehicle Business at BYD India.
Chauhan's Extensive Experience
With over 25 years of experience, Chauhan has previously worked with Honda Cars India and Volvo Car India. His expertise lies in optimising retail capacity and focusing on customer orientation, which has significantly improved customer experiences. BYD India's product line includes the e6 electric MPV, the ATTO 3 electric SUV, and their latest model, the BYD SEAL. The SEAL is a luxury electric sedan that offers a range of up to 650 km and can accelerate to 100 kph in up to 3.8 seconds. It features Cell To Body (CTB) technology, ADAS Level 2, and nine airbags among other advanced features.
