Prodrive Motorsport Award 2023: Celebrating Guild Members' Achievements In Motorsport
Guild of Motoring Writers members have just one week left to submit entries for the Prodrive Motorsport Award. This award honours exceptional achievements in motorsport, whether through writing or participation. Prodrive, a renowned motorsport and technology company based in Banbury, sponsors the award as it marks its 40th year in the industry. The winner will receive a £500 cash prize and a trophy at the Guild’s annual dinner in December.
In 2023, Maurice Hamilton won the award for his insightful analysis of Ford's return to F1 racing. Richard Taylor, Prodrive Motorsport’s Business Development Manager, presented the award. Maurice had previously won this accolade twice before. Indira Flack and Guy Loveridge were also highly commended for their contributions to motorsport photography and commentary, respectively.

The Prodrive Award is among 14 categories in this year's Guild Awards. Each category offers cash prizes and trophies. Entries can be submitted until midnight on Monday, 30th September. After judging, finalists will be announced in November. Judges will evaluate up to three submissions per entry, selecting the best work from three entrants to form each category's finalists.
For comprehensive details on all award categories, prize money, and entry forms, candidates should visit: http://www.gomw.co.uk/awards. It is crucial for entrants to carefully read the online instructions before submitting their entries.
If there are any questions regarding the entry process or if someone wishes to apply for Guild membership, they should contact Honorary Secretary Richard Netherwood via email at [email protected].
The awards ceremony will take place at the RAC Club on Pall Mall in December. This event promises to be a highlight for those involved in motorsport journalism and competition.
