Price Hike Alert: Jeep & Citroen Cars To Become More Expensive In India
In a recent announcement, Stellantis India, the parent company of the Jeep and Citroen brands, has revealed that prices for select models will be adjusted upwards by up to 0.5 per cent starting 30 April 2024.
This adjustment will affect the Jeep Compass and Meridian SUVs, alongside the entire Citroen lineup, marking a notable shift in the pricing strategy for these popular vehicles in the country.

The adjustment will see prices rise by approximately Rs 4,000 to Rs 17,000 across the board. This move is in response to the escalating input costs and operational expenses that have impacted the automotive industry.
The company aims to address these financial pressures while continuing to offer high-quality vehicles to its customers. Citroen India's current offerings include the C3, eC3, C3 Aircross, and the C5 Aircross, catering to a wide range of preferences and needs within the Indian market.

Jeep India, on the other hand, has a robust lineup consisting of the Compass, Meridian, Grand Cherokee, and the Wrangler. The forthcoming launch of the Jeep Wrangler facelift is also highly anticipated among auto enthusiasts in the country.
This price revision reflects the broader industry trend of adjusting pricing in response to economic factors. Consumers interested in purchasing vehicles from the Jeep or Citroen brands are advised to consider these upcoming price changes as they plan their purchases.

That being said, Citoren is slowing yet steadily increasing its presence in the country. Moreover, the upcoming Citroen Basalt (Coupe SUV) is expected to further boost the overall sales figures for the French automaker in India.
