Porsche Cars North America Celebrates Fifth Year Supporting Atlanta Pride Committee
Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) has once again shown its commitment to inclusivity by supporting the Atlanta Pride Committee for the fifth consecutive year. On Sunday, October 13, PCNA employees, along with three Porsche vehicles, six dancers, and the Seed & Feed band, participated in the 55th Atlanta Pride Parade on Peachtree Street. This event brought together hundreds of thousands of people to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community.
Participants from PCNA joined the parade alongside their cars, dancers, and band members. They were part of a large crowd celebrating diversity and inclusion over the weekend. Timo Resch, President and CEO of PCNA, stated, "Porsche Cars North America is proud to uphold inclusivity by supporting our employees and this meaningful celebration." He emphasized their goal to foster acceptance and change within the Atlanta community.
Executive Committee members Glenn Garde, Ayesha Coker, and Angus Fitton were present at the parade. They joined PCNA employees, family members, and friends in showing support for the LGBTQIA+ community. The participants wore custom "Live Vibrant" T-shirts while distributing Pride flags, buttons, stickers, and beads along the parade route.
The parade was led by a 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 wrapped in Pride colours. Following it were a Purple Sky Metallic Taycan Turbo GT and a Frozen Blue Macan 4. The Seed & Feed band played Pride-themed songs as colourful dancers accompanied them.
Atlanta Pride was established in 1970 with a mission to promote unity and visibility among the LGBTQ+ community. The festival commemorates the Stonewall Riots of 1969 and is held in October to align with National Coming Out Day. It serves as a reminder of the ongoing movement for LGBTQ+ rights.
Porsche Cars North America was founded in 1984 as the exclusive U.S. importer of various Porsche models including the 911 and Taycan. Headquartered in Atlanta since 1998, PCNA houses North America's first Porsche Experience Center featuring driver development tracks and business facilities.
