Porsche Carrera Cup North America To Conclude Season With Final Showdown In Texas

The Porsche Carrera Cup North America is wrapping up its fourth season at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. This weekend, the championship will conclude with two rounds supporting Formula 1®. The races are scheduled for Saturday, October 19, and Sunday, October 20. A total of 36 entries across Pro, Pro-Am, and Masters classes will compete on the 3.4-mile circuit.

Each Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car (Type 992) is identical in mechanics and uses Yokohama ADVAN® A005 racing slicks. This makes driver skill and team preparation crucial for success. Since its inception in 2021, the series has been a stepping stone for racers like Sebastian Priaulx and Parker Thompson. Riley Dickinson recently won his first race in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.

Loek Hartog from the Netherlands has already secured the Pro class championship with an unassailable lead. He drives the No. 24 Kellymoss Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. In contrast, Alex Sedgwick's second place is under threat from Ryan Yardley and Zachary Vanier. Dan Clarke holds fifth place in the standings.

The Pro-Am class remains fiercely competitive with Alan Metni leading by just ten points over Efrin Castro. Castro has been closing in with recent wins at Road Atlanta. Marco Cirone is only one point behind Castro, while Moisey Uretsky trails by 19 points after victories in Miami and Montreal.

The Masters class title battle is between Matt Halcome and Chris Bellomo. Halcome leads with 278 points in his No. 55 ACI Motorsports car, while Bellomo follows with a deficit of 34 points driving for Kellymoss.

In the Entrants championship, Kellymoss leads with a significant margin over JDX Racing. With only two races left, there are still 56 points available per class to be won.

Event Schedule and Format
